It was cold out…. VERY cold… and VERY foggy. Not many couples want to embrace the cold and fog for an outdoor pre wedding shoot, but Emily and Andrew not only embraced it, they turned it into a hot, fiery session! I was one happy wedding photographer!
I met this lovely couple up at their wedding venue, Kingscote Barn near Stroud. Kingscote is a nestled into the hills in the most picturesque little spot. With the sweeping driveway, the sheep stand together welcoming you as you come across the fields, you can’t help but feel like you have been whisked away to a dreamy Cotswold getaway.
After having a quick hello with the wedding planner (who was lovely!) we got on our way to make the most of being together and to not have to stand in the cold for too long.
With a number of amazing spots to photograph Emily and Andrew’s engagement shoot in, I decided that we would go for a more Nordic theme since it was bitterly cold out. Using a variety of different structures and hidden woodlands that were available, we quickly made work a complete laugh together.
I hope you enjoy looking through this set of pictures. It was super fun and I highly recommend to all couples to embrace a pre wedding shoot or engagement shoot and do it! They are such a good experience and a real chance to get out before your wedding day when there is no pressure to just learn how being in front of a camera works. You learn more about your photographer and understand how they will work with you. It can make ALL the difference to your wedding day photographs.
So! Be inventive. Be open minded. and get ready to go from C-O-L-D to sizzling H-O-T!
Happy January all!
