I love it when I get a phone call or email from a new couple and the first line they give me is, “you were recommended by our friends”. My heart begins to sing and swell with pride (sorry but I am an artist and my work is so very important to me).

When I was contacted by Lauren and Matt, we hadn’t met before their engagement session; but knowing who their friends were, I knew they were only going to be a totally awesome couple – and they didn’t disappoint.

We met in a parking lot so we could follow one another to our destination down a few hay fever riddled ‘A’ roads. We arrived at the little stream of water which we could see happily trickling by us with the trees lazily swaying in the summer breeze and then sun beginning to set in the sky – the perfect backdrop for a wedding photographer.

Lauren looked stunning. With her deep blue dress which made her eyes just pop and Matt, (he cleans up nicely too) all ready to make some magic happen, I didn’t’ have to work for it. They made all kinds of magic happen next to the little stream. With whispers, laughter and cuddles it was instantly obvious just how in love this couple are with one another. I now only have to wait 363 more days for their actual wedding – but on July 1st I will be waking up singing “It’s wedding day!!!”.

I can’t wait to see you both again. Thanks for being so awesome. Seriously. A-W-E-S-O-M-E
