Many Gloucestershire wedding photographers still offer USB sticks in their wedding photography packages and couples think that if they do not have a USB stick they are not getting good value for their money. But let me explain to you why I have decided not to give USB sticks anymore and how online wedding galleries are a luxury. Read more …
I do believe there are signs of spring starting to creep into each day, which means we are getting closer to summer sun and wedding season! Today I was lucky enough to head over to the beautiful, newly renovated Frogmill Inn just outside of Cheltenham. I will be photographing a wedding there in May and I can’t wait.
I met with Katie and Laury to talk about their wedding photography and how we can make their pictures special for the day.
It is always a good idea to meet with your wedding photographer before your date so you can just have a moment to sit down, have a beer (or gin or whatever your tonic is!) and just talk. No pressure and no where else to be. You can also go for a walk around the venue, discuss where pictures can be made during different times of the time or if the weather isn’t cooperating. The more you can be open about the day and what it could possibly hold (a.k.a the WEATHER) the better it’ll be on the day for picture expectations.
Creating photographs for a wedding that are personal to each couple is very important to me. I want to make sure I understand as a wedding photographer, who you are as a couple; what makes you laugh, smile and jump on each other’s backs! Once I have that information being your wedding photographer is just that much easier!
So, here’s to another wonderful day to come. If you are planning your wedding and still looking for a wedding photographer, I would love to meet you. I may be a Gloucestershire wedding photographer 90% of the time, but I am more than happy to travel to make your wedding day magical.
Surveys have shown that people come from all over the United Kingdom to get married in the Cotswolds. The beautiful countryside, quiet hamlets, and the people (of course the people right?!!?) make for the Cotswolds to be a perfect wedding destination.
As a wedding photographer in Gloucestershire, the spring time is one of my favourite times of the year to photograph pre wedding sessions. The Cotswolds air is fresh, and the greenery is new and the flowers — well they are everywhere!! Blue, white, pink all around the Cotswolds there is a new flower blossoming.
I was greatly honoured to be asked by Mel and Mark to photograph their wedding next year. They are a wonderful couple with great personality and their wedding is going to be fantastic.
With the sun hanging lazily in the sky we met in the Lowerwoods near Wickwar, Gloucestershire where the bluebells were on mass. It was a like a sea of blue just waiting for us to walk amongst them. We walked and talked about their upcoming wedding at The Great Tythe Barn and I heard about all they have in store for their special day.
A year is going to fly by and before I know it, I’ll be photographing their wedding. Happy planning Mark and Mel and thanks for a great session.

I love it when couples want to change things up and they are eager to create something that is a little different. As a wedding photographer in Gloucestershire, I find myself standing in fields a lot, so to be asked to shoot something different in the suburbs, I am all over it!
I love it when I get a phone call or email from a new couple and the first line they give me is, “you were recommended”. My heart begins to sing and swell with pride (sorry but I am an artist and my work is so very important to me).
When I was contacted by Jay, we hadn’t met before their engagement session; but knowing who the plans, I knew they were only going to be a totally awesome couple – and they didn’t disappoint.
