Summer Wedding in Gloucestershire | Hollie and Chris

I first met Hollie at a wedding open evening. She had driven down from Essex with her lovely mum that day to find and meet Gloucestershire wedding suppliers. Holly and I got along right away. I understood her wedding photography vision. They were looking for a relaxed wedding photographer. They wanted the pictures to feel natural. They didn’t want to spend all day being away from their guests to have pictures taken. With that Hollie booked me to be her wedding photographer. I am lucky to be a recommended wedding photographer Drakestone House. So Hollie knew she was in good hands for her wedding photographs.

Frogmill Inn | May Wedding | Katie and Laurie

On my first meeting with Katie and Laurie, I was greeted but the most fantastic energy. Katie and Laurie were full of smiles and bounce (yes bounce as in so much energy they could zap me with some of it). After out initial meeting at the Frogmill Inn and our walk around and mini pre wedding shoot.  I was all set to be their wedding photographer.

Frogmill Inn | Katie and Laurie | Engagement Photography

I do believe there are signs of spring starting to creep into each day, which means we are getting closer to summer sun and wedding season!  Today I was lucky enough to head over to the beautiful, newly renovated Frogmill Inn just outside of Cheltenham. I will be photographing a wedding there in May and I can’t wait.

I met  with Katie and Laury to talk about their wedding photography and how we can make their pictures special for the day.

It is always a good idea to meet with your wedding photographer before your date so you can just have a moment to sit down, have a beer (or gin or whatever your tonic is!) and just talk. No pressure and no where else to be. You can also go for a walk around the venue, discuss where pictures can be made during different times of the time or if the weather isn’t cooperating. The more you can be open about the day and what it could possibly hold (a.k.a the WEATHER) the better it’ll be on the day for picture expectations.

Creating photographs for a wedding that are personal to each couple is very important to me. I want to make sure I understand as a wedding photographer, who you are as a couple; what makes you laugh, smile and jump on each other’s backs! Once I have that information being your wedding photographer is just that much easier!

So, here’s to another wonderful day to come. If you are planning your wedding and still looking for a wedding photographer, I would love to meet you. I may be a Gloucestershire wedding photographer 90% of the time, but I am more than happy to travel to make your wedding day magical.

Happy weekend to you all!
