Don’t let the rain get you down. The weather may not have been working in our favour, but we just embraced it.
Let’s talk wedding flowers. As a wedding photographer I see ALOT of flowers. I see flowers that I have never seen before in colours I didn’t know exist. With a host of colours to choose from on your wedding day, where do you begin when choosing your wedding flowers?
So I love a good bargain. My husband will always leave it to me to find the best price because he knows I LOVE to get my money’s worth. So why should it be any different when you are shopping around for the most important supplier to your wedding: your photographer.
I do believe there are signs of spring starting to creep into each day, which means we are getting closer to summer sun and wedding season! Today I was lucky enough to head over to the beautiful, newly renovated Frogmill Inn just outside of Cheltenham. I will be photographing a wedding there in May and I can’t wait.
I met with Katie and Laury to talk about their wedding photography and how we can make their pictures special for the day.
It is always a good idea to meet with your wedding photographer before your date so you can just have a moment to sit down, have a beer (or gin or whatever your tonic is!) and just talk. No pressure and no where else to be. You can also go for a walk around the venue, discuss where pictures can be made during different times of the time or if the weather isn’t cooperating. The more you can be open about the day and what it could possibly hold (a.k.a the WEATHER) the better it’ll be on the day for picture expectations.
Creating photographs for a wedding that are personal to each couple is very important to me. I want to make sure I understand as a wedding photographer, who you are as a couple; what makes you laugh, smile and jump on each other’s backs! Once I have that information being your wedding photographer is just that much easier!
So, here’s to another wonderful day to come. If you are planning your wedding and still looking for a wedding photographer, I would love to meet you. I may be a Gloucestershire wedding photographer 90% of the time, but I am more than happy to travel to make your wedding day magical.
What a day. I figured on my morning business meeting in the field with my partner in wedding crime, Katherine Edwards of Cherish Cakes, that we could come up with a fabulous styled wedding shoot to help fill the cold, wintry months while we wait for our wedding season to kick off.
On my first meeting with Katie and Laurie, I was greeted but the most fantastic energy! Katie and Laurie were full of smiles and bounce (yes bounce as in so much energy they could zap me with some of it). After out initial meeting at the Frogmill Inn and our walk around and mini pre wedding shoot (look here for a peek at it!) I was all set to be their wedding photographer.
We have had the most perfect summer weather, starting in May. Many of us Cotswold wedding photographers were worried the weather might decide to drastically change by August, but I can say it didn’t disappoint as it only delivered for the most beautiful wedding at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury.
