I met Sam and Vanessa at the Bowood Hotel and Spa wedding open day where I am happy to be a regular wedding photographer. Bowood Hotel offers so many different areas and “feels” to its clients that it makes for a very happy photographer.
Sam was very clear on meeting that he really wanted a documentary approach to the wedding photographs; so minimal staged pictures. This was perfectly well suited to the style of the day and as a documentary wedding photographer, it made my job very easy.
It may have been the wettest day of the week, but that did not dampen the spirits of Will and Aimee. A wedding planned to perfection; every detail you could possibly think of was taken care of. From the bespoke gifts for the groomsmen to the carefully designed sunflowers and maize dancing around the marquee as if they were embracing it in an all mighty bright sunny hug.
I know lately it seems like the big yellow fire ball in the universe know as the sun has forsaken us, but this time last year we were melting from the shear heat of it. As Emma and Sam prepped for their wedding at Warner’s Court, in Charfield, South Gloucestershire, putting up the marquee and prepping the barns, they continued to fill their friends with cold drinks and laughter in order to keep them working hard – very hard.
