With the world so obscure and unpredictable at the moment I thought I’d share something that is unpredictable too. As the bridal prep is in full swing and the last few minutes of preparation take place it’s like a gong show of amazingness chaos (if I can use those adjectives all at once). Your memories are a little blurry.

The brides racing around getting dressed trying not to forget things. Mum is in the corner like a mother hen trying to not get in the way. Bridesmaids are worried about themselves looking perfect while doing everything they’re asked to do by the bride last minute.

It. Is. Chaos.

And then –  it stops.

Everyone leaves the room but the bride. She breathes. She does her last minute of preparation by herself. And breathes again.

She gently lays her veil over her arm, picks up the train of her dress and says to the wedding planner, “I’m ready”. These are the moments I get to photograph for you.

These may be the moments that you’ll not remember clearly until you are presented with your wedding pictures – and it all comes flooding back.

This is why you hire a wedding photographer. So you can relive those butterflies every time you see that moment again. Love the moment. And live it time and time again.

If you are getting married and looking for a wedding photographer, please get in touch. Let’s chat about your wedding ideas and plans. At the moment we are all stuck in our houses, wearing PJ’s full time trying to make the most of a horrible situation, but all the more reason to curl up on the couch and have a video call with me. We can drink tea (if it is morning – something stronger for the evening!) and talk about your day.
