Barnsley House
Being a Uk wedding photographer is not something I take lightly. I love photographing a wedding day because of the emotion that is so raw on the day. The coming together of two families. Two families that may have never been one until this day.
The beautiful Cotswold wedding venue Barnsley House. The wedding dreams are made of. With the sun shining after a month of torrential rains, the weather was a gift from God. Amy and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the Secret Garden Suite. The music playing, the champagne flowing and the make up being applied. As little Haig ran around in his nappy, keeping everyone entertained; this wedding was everything special.
Outside in the famous Barnsley House gardens, The Rose Shed team were erecting the cascading roses and greenery around the gothic summerhouse for the outdoor wedding ceremony which was just hours away. The aisle was lined with fresh flower meadows and just waiting to welcome Amy and her bridesmaids.
As a Barnsley House wedding photographer, I find it such a joy to move around this incredible wedding venue. With exclusive use, the guests are all there to celebrate this momentous occasion. As the morning quickly turned to the afternoon, it was time for Amy to put on her beautiful Berta wedding dress. With the help of her sister and mum, her treasured Jimmy Choo shoes and veil were fixed into place for the final finishing touches. It was time to meet Nathan.
Ceremony
The guests were seated amongst the plethora of flowers, ready to watch history take place. Amy and her father came down the aisle, her veil flowing behind the biggest smile. Nathan waited at the top, fighting his emotions as his bride came to meet him at his side. The sun was beating down and the registrar announced they were officially husband and wife. Little Haig came racing over to his parents to be the first to congratulate them with a kiss and a cuddle.
Wedding photography is always a special job but to document the full circle of completing a family with a marriage makes it truly an honour to document.
The confetti was thrown and the party was started.
Canapés
The guests were greeted at The Temple with the cocktail drinks ready. Each cocktail was named after Amy, Nathan and Haig. The guests sat under the shade of the trees and listened to the live music as they congratulated Amy and Nathan.
The guests were in the Temple and London stylist, Victoria Paling was busy making the final touches in The Potager Restaurant for the wedding breakfast. With a specially designed floating florals standing tall over each table. It made it is easy for guests to chat with one another while eating their wedding breakfast. The candles were lit, and the guests were welcomed into the breakfast.
The speeches revealed deep dark childhood secrets that Nathan and his friends had kept from his Dad regarding his previous Bentley. Amy’s dad also wore his heart on his sleeve with the true love he has for his daughter and how proud he is of the woman, mother and now wife she has become.
The plates were cleared and the party went up a notch. As Dizzy Feet took over the Potager, the guests hit the dance floor.
It was a pleasure photographing this beautiful wedding and I thank Amy and Nathan for trusting me with documenting this special day.
