my name is Alicia
Besides work…
I have a wonderful family. With three boys and a crazy dog, my husband and I find ourselves driving all over the country for field hockey tournaments with our oldest and several times a week I will be on the ice in Bristol with my boys teaching them to skate or watching them play ice hockey (YES we are a very big hockey family – both field, indoor and ice hockey!)
Being a Nova Scotia wedding photographer and all my family still living there, I try to go home once a year. I seem to find myself in a different part of the country each visit, as my brother lives in Alberta, my sister in Nova Scotia and my parents in Newfoundland. But my love for my family and country stay strong… but saying that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE living in England. I mean it is the country of queens and castles, who wouldn’t love it!!?
I am a true romantic at heart, hence why I call myself a romantic wedding photographer. My husband spoils me with flowers, coffee in bed, and surprise lunch dates when the kids are in school. So my wedding photography and videography are heavily seen as romantic; I can’t help it! So if you are a romantic at heart, we should talk. Send me an email about my wedding photography and videography packages and prices because I am your girl.
Besides being romantic, I love playing field hockey and I am at the ice rink in Bristol getting my skate on as much as I can. I also go to the gym several times a week (being a UK wedding photographer requires you to be fit!), and love to read a good book before bed (do you have any good suggestions!? if so PLEASE tell me in the contact info!) running after my boys and walking my dog.
I work hard to stay on top of educational training in order to keep my wedding photography at the highest level. Having completed two university degrees and part of my master’s in special needs already, I am not afraid to learn. I thrive on learning new things. Life is too short to not keep on learning, and how boring life would be if I never got to enhance my life skills. My latest academic adventure has been the art of storytelling as a Gloucestershire wedding videographer.
I have been featured in a number of magazines and wedding blogs such as Style Me Pretty, English Wedding Blog, Boho Weddings, and Vow Magazine. I am very proud to say I won a national photography competition with Canon UK during World Rugby 2015. I even had the opportunity to photograph the England Rugby team; now THAT was an experience (check it out here)
I hope this gives you a little insight into who I am. I am bubbly. I love people and I love my job. That sums it up!
I’d love to hear from you so send me your details and let’s talk.
