Choosing Your Wedding Flowers
Why not find inspiration in others who have gone before you!? I say heck yes!

A September wedding of dreamy weather, venue and people. I can’t help but fall in love with Pauntley House every time I drive down the little lane with fields welcoming me on either side, ready to be part of yet another beautiful Gloucestershire wedding.
My first time at Pauntley Court was actually before Pauntley became a wedding venue. One of my wedding clients was getting married in the church, with a marquee on her parent’s farm for the wedding breakfast. In need of somewhere to take their family for wedding photographs, Melissa was approached about using her beautiful gardens; and Melissa being Melissa said “absolutely!”
As a Gloucestershire wedding photographer, I am lucky to photograph weddings all over the Cotswolds. In March, the weather is uncontrollable and unpredictable. The gardens haven’t gone into full bloom yet and we are all waiting patiently for the signs of spring to come forth. So to help beat the winter blues, a very small team of Gloucestershire wedding suppliers decided to inspire our couples by creating what we see as true old English romance.
Being a Gloucestershire wedding photographer at Barnsley House in Bibury is a truly dream location. Known for their stunning gardens, the Temple and outdoor secret escapes, this house helps to create truly dreamy wedding photographs.
As a wedding photographer, I have learnt to think SUPER FAST on my feet and create magic in my camera as it unfolds before me. I don’t have time to move people around or tell my clients “Ok, if you could just walk down the aisle a little slower” or “If you could just laugh at this precise moment that would be great” or “can you just make a magical kiss by tipping your bride back right when I say go”… yup… those moments they don’t happen. I have to be ready for what I think is going to happen next to help make time stand still for your moment to become a picture. And I love it.
With Siânnise and Luke T heading into their last few nights in the Love Island villa, I was tagged on Instagram in a message:
Let’s talk wedding flowers. As a wedding photographer I see ALOT of flowers. I see flowers that I have never seen before in colours I didn’t know exist. With a host of colours to choose from on your wedding day, where do you begin when choosing your wedding flowers?
So I love a good bargain. My husband will always leave it to me to find the best price because he knows I LOVE to get my money’s worth. So why should it be any different when you are shopping around for the most important supplier to your wedding: your photographer.
I wear my heart on my sleeve. I love to make people happy when I photograph their wedding, and the thought of people being pleased is what drives me on a day to day basis.
So when I woke up this morning to receive this post wedding email, I couldn’t help but think to myself “yup! I definitely LOVE my job”.
